SDSW in partnership with Tutti Arts visit communities across South Australia to host filmmaking workshops for people with a learning disability.

We guide participants through the process of creating a story, writing the script and developing a storyboard. We get everyone involved in the process from directing to acting, costumes, music and special effects; it’s a lot of fun and a lot of hard work too!

In 2016 the SDSW Committee delivered three filmmaking workshops in Renmark, Port Augusta and Mt Gambier. Watch the films below!

The Bearded Dog | Renmark, South Australia

Filmmakers: Troy Barnett, Jamie Dillon, Michelle Jacobson, Sharon Llyod, Marianne Potts, Tracey Richardson, Anita Tippl, Rebecca Townsend and Kerry-Anne Warner

Brother of Wolves | Port Augusta, South Australia

Filmmakers: Rebekah Bee, Helen Cox, Mercedes Cox, Trevor Cox, Veronica Fiege, Joshua Gannon, Vanessa Starkey and Stephen Talbot

Personal Profiles | Mt Gambier

Personal profiles are a film made by an individual, a digital autobiography. Our participants in Mt Gambier chose this approach to learn about film making. You can view their personal profiles via our YouTube Channel.
